At birth, Kun pulled a Megamind and crash-landed on earth in a pod. He landed in Area 52 and grew up there, spending most of his childhood hunting for food. The humans working at Area 52 considered him a potential threat (which is a reasonable reaction because they watched him kill an eight-foot-tall cryptid) and locked him away in a cell to get tested on. 20 years later when Kun was an adult, Area 52 gets raided by a group of mercenaries, one of whom happens to be Trace.

That's just a quick summary of what happened, the comic coming soon will cover this (hopefully)
